About Me:

I am finishing up my senior year at the University of Miami and am interested in healthcare and developmental economics. After graduating, I am hoping to work in the Democratic Republic of Congo with the Carter Center on Human Rights and Public Health in post-conflict (conflict) zones. I am a human rights activist and campus organizer at UM. Tune into my radio show “Counterpoint” in the fall at WVUM.org if you are interested in foreign and domestic politics. I'm hoping Zaadz can help out with networking to promote the cause. Feel free to drop me an e-mail.

“For years I was held in a tiny cell. My only human contact was with my torturers…On Christmas Eve the door to my cell opened and the gaurd tossed in a crumpled piece of paper. It said,   'Take heart. The world knows you're alive. We're with you. Regards, Monica, Amnesty International'
 That letter saved my life”
-A released prisoner of conscience from Paraguay

“As long as space endures,
As long as living beings remain,
Until then, may I, too, remain,
and dispel the miseries of the world.”
